The simplicity of Framatic products is their hallmark. Framatic frames are intended to complement the images your customers display, not compete with them. They provide a classic, understated — and unique solution. With simplicity, there is no opportunity to hide flaws. This is why Framatic frames are manufactured to very exacting standards. For example, the glass is clean and ready to use. Mitered corners are consistently tight. Fit and finish are always to the highest standard of quality in the industry.
The Cirrus frame is a shallow (1/2” deep) shadowbox frame. The aluminum molding is 1 3/16” deep with a 1/4” wide face and is available in two anodized, satin finish colors: black and silver. It comes completely ready to use, with a warm white, 3/16” archival foam-core backing, clear glass that has had the sharp edges ground smooth, and removable, acid-free, 1/4” thick mounting tabs. Smaller sizes include an easel for tabletop use.
The exceptionally thin face of the Fineline cleanly defines an image but never overwhelms it. The frame offers easy loading of the image with the option of a single or double mat.
Spring clips adjust the depth of the frame to accommodate up to 3/8” of matting and artwork. The glass is perfectly clean with smooth edges.
Each of these frames makes use of a unique construction called “seamless”. First, a panel of 1/4” thick MDF (a composite wood board) has the centre cut out to create the 1 3/4” face of the frame. Since the frame has not been made from cut and joined lengths of molding, there are no joints at the corners. Next, a second wooden frame is attached to the back of the MDF to create the space for the glass, matting, etc, and our easy-to-use “pivot clip” back.
Modern Seamless Frames are constructed out of a 1" seamless panel frame and is offered in a variety of stunning colors and sizes.
“Woodworks” is a solid hardwood, ready-made frame designed to the usual Framatic criteria: simplicity of visual design, easy function and quality craftsmanship.
