Gnigami to distribute Mamiya products in Canada
February 16, 2007
Toronto, Ontario – Gnigami, a newly-established Canadian distribution company specializing in professional imaging and photography equipment, is announcing it will be the exclusive distributor of Mamiya camera products in Canada. Gnigami will be offering Canadian photo retailers the full range of Mamiya’s current products.
By re-establishing Mamiya’s presence in Canada, Gnigami is making it easier for professional and fine art photographers to move up to medium format digital photography, since Mamiya’s latest models will be priced well below competitive brands. As an added benefit of Gnigami’s distribution of Mamiya products, Mamiya camera owners will now find it easy to get quality service and support in Canada.
Photo retailers will have an extensive selection of products to choose from, beginning with the flagship Mamiya 645AFD II medium format camera. This versatile 6x4.5cm autofocus SLR supports digital, film and Polaroid backs. It combines sophisticated advanced features, integrated microprocessor-controlled electronics, enhanced performance and the quality of medium format film or digital capture with the power of proven world-class Mamiya autofocus optics. Mamiya’s range of high performance lenses runs from 35mm wide angle through 300mm telephoto, and include a 120mm macro and two zoom lenses (AF 105 – 210mm and AF 55 – 110mm). In addition, a new 28mm wide angle lens will soon be available. Without question, the 645AFD II is the most affordable, technologically advanced medium format camera available.
The Mamiya ZD is the latest evolution of the professional medium format camera – and the world’s first production model integrated-CCD medium format SLR. The 22 megapixel ZD comes with a 48x36mm CCD that achieves outstanding image quality to rival its earlier film counterparts. It also accepts the full range of Mamiya 645AF lenses.
Additional Mamiya medium format cameras will either be in stock or available by special order. The Mamiya RZ67 Pro IID is the natural evolution of the legendary RZ Pro II. This medium format camera is compatible with both film and digital backs, and is noted for its large 6x7cm format, ultra-high performance lenses and convenient revolving back.
The film-based 645 Pro-TL features fast and convenient 35mm-style handling, with a medium format negative size, interchangeable film magazines and viewfinders, and convenient TTL/OTF flash automation.
The Mamiya 7 II is a medium format, 6x7cm, film-based rangefinder camera with interchangeable leaf shutter lenses. It is “The Ultimate 6x7 Rangefinder”, virtually no bigger than the top 35mm SLRs. Quiet, compact and lightweight, the Mamiya 7 II allows one to create incredibly detailed 6x7cm “Ideal Format” images with ease.
